THAILAND -
JUNE 2008
I had a little bit better luck in Thailand, which I visited immediately
after Malaysia - but only slightly! It was still very tough, and the
only reason I got any more shots with digiscoping was because there was
more in the way of open country birding here. I did manage my only
photo (so far) of a pitta, a fabulous Blue-winged Pitta in not so
fabulous habitat, living in an African oil palm plantation. Well, it's
a country I have to go back to anyway since I dipped horribly on
Gurney's Pitta...
