Humboldt Penguin Spheniscus humboldti Pucusana, Lima department, Peru. This penguin inhabits the Pacific coast of South America from Peru to Chile. It has only one black band on the underparts (compare with Magellanic). (S6)

Galapagos Penguin Spheniscus mendiculus Punta Espinosa, Fernandina Island, Galapagos, Ecuador. The world's only penguin with a range restricted entirely to the tropics. (S5)

Magellanic Penguin Spheniscus magellanicus Valdes Peninsula, Chubut province, Argentina. This penguin is found in southern South America and nearby islands, and is especially common on the Atlantic coast. I took many photos of this species, so I created a special gallery devoted to it. (S6)
